스물여덟 해의 짧은 삶을 거둔
윤동주(1917~45)의 "서시"입니다.

그의 노래처럼 은사와 재능보다
정결함을 사모해야 합니다.
탁월한 능력이 있다 해도
거룩하지 않으면 하나님의
영광을 가릴 뿐입니다.
크기, 모양, 재질에 관계없이
깨끗하기만 하면 어떤 그릇이든
쓰일 수 있습니다.

그러나 더러운 그릇은
결코 쓰임받지 못합니다.
화려한 금그릇이라도
쓰레기로 가득하면 귀한 곳에
쓰일 수 없는 것입니다.

하나님 앞에 자신을
깨끗하게 하는 사람만이
의의 병기로 쓰임받습니다.
