모세는 하나님의 음성을 듣고
애굽왕 바로와 대면하여
이스라엘 백성 200만을
이끌고 출애굽했습니다.

그런데 홍해 앞에서
최대 위기를 맞게 됩니다.

마음이 바뀐 바로가 군대를
동원하여 이스라엘 백성을
뒤따라 온 것입니다.

이스라엘 백성들은
사면초가에 직면했습니다.

앞에는 홍해, 양 옆은 산지,
뒤에는 바로의 군대.

인간의 힘으로 도저히
해결할 수 없는 모든 길이
꽉 막힌 상황에 놓인 것입니다.

더욱이 이스라엘 백성들은
불평하며 모세를
공격하려고 했습니다.

그때 모세는 하늘을 쳐다
볼 수 밖에 없었습니다.

이것이 믿음입니다.

절망 속에서 그는
하나님을 바라본 것입니다.

그때 하나님은 새로운
길을 주셨습니다.

홍해가 육지같이 갈라지는
기적을 보게 하셨습니다.

그러므로, 안 되는 것 같으나
되게 하고, 없는 것 같으나
있게 하는 것이 믿음입니다.

이 믿음은 우리로 하여금
새로운 길을 가게 합니다.
