우리는 살면서 가보지 않을
길을 가야 할 때가 있습니다.

새로운 학교나 직장에
들어갈 때도 있고,
전혀 새로운 곳에서
살아가야 할 때 도 있고,
새로운 일을
시작할 때도 있습니다.

경험해 보지 않는 길 앞에서
설렘과 두려움이
찾아오게 됩니다.

여호수아 1장에서 여호수아도
새로운 길을 가야 할 상황에
두려워하고 있었습니다.

평생을 믿고 따르던
지도자 모세가 죽었고,
자신이 인도해야 할
참으로 말 안 듣는 백성이
200만이나 되었습니다.

그리고 가나안 땅도 거저
받는 것이 아니라 싸워서
정복해야 했습니다.

그때 하나님께서 찾아오셔서
"강하고 담대하라!"고
말씀하셨습니다.

그 이유는 하나님께서 그의
걸음에 함께 하실
것이기 때문이었습니다.

여호수아와 함께 하셨던
하나님께서 지금 우리에게도
동일하게 말씀하십니다.

"내가 너와 함께 하겠다"
